Dr. Berns sees Burmese refugees in office
On Wednesday, April 15, local optometrist, Dr. Leora Berns, of Avon Eye Care, and one of her patients, Val Prado, gave free vision screenings to 16 Burmese refugees, living in Hartford.
Two of the refugee women had potentially blinding eye diseases, which would not have been detected without Dr Berns' eye examination.
